The Chi-Cats are a three piece band from the Chicago area who reinterpret
and perform classic American roots music - Blues, Rockabilly, Country, Swing,
and Rock and Roll - from the mid 40's through the mid 60's. The members are:
Ed Foltz
Born with sticks in his hands (which made the delivery quite painful for his Mother), Ed has been playing in bands for more than 30 years. During that time he has recorded and toured the United States and Europe. Recently he traded in his double-bass pedals for brushes when he joined the Chi-Cats.
Mike Grenz
Having paid his dues in the Chicago Blues scene with his skills on stand-up bass, Mike holds up the bottom for the Chi-Cats. Over the last 35 years Mike has played anything from Beatles to Blues with some Swing, Country and Rockabilly thrown in.
Paul Ebert
Having originally caught the bug from seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show, Paul has spent the last 40 years playing guitar in various Rock, Pop, and Blues bands around Chicago. He has spent years trying to discover that elusive "Freddie King" chord.
